Alfred Enderby has been smoking salmon and haddock in a wonderfully traditional way for over 100 years.

Their traditional smokehouse in Grimsby, with its distinctive ornate iron cowls, is roughly a century old, with two generations of the Enderby family involved in running it for two-thirds of that time. They pride themselves on the high quality of skill and craftsmanship that goes into their now award-winning smoked fish products.

To this day the smoker continues to be an artisan family business, now run by husband and wife team, Patrick and Toni Salmon (yes that’s their real name). In 2018, Alfred Enderby Ltd received two Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Food – A three star ‘exquisite’ award for their smoked salmon and a two star 'outstanding' award for their smoked haddock.

After over 40 years of service and a long 10 year process, Enderby’s was awarded PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status for their Grimsby Traditional Smoked Haddock in 2009.
