From a British classic that had lost its sparkle to a bold new take on indulgence, The Glorious Mess is here to make dessert exciting again. Founded by Brian and Leanne Crowther, the brand is on a mission to shake up the dessert aisle, adding flavour, colour and a little bit of theatre back into one of the nation’s most loved treats.

A British classic, reimagined

Eton Mess has long been a staple of British desserts, but somewhere along the way, it became a little… underwhelming. Dry meringue, muted flavours, and not much to get excited about.

Brian and Leanne knew it could be so much more.

With over 15 years of experience crafting meringues through their snacking brand Flower and White, they understood exactly what great meringue should be. Light, indulgent, full of flavour and, most importantly, joyful. So they set out to elevate a classic, transforming it into something that feels special again without making it complicated.

A deliciously fast journey

Launched in June 2025, The Glorious Mess started with a simple idea. Make desserts feel glorious again.

Since then, the journey has been nothing short of impressive. From concept to shelves in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Ocado, the brand has quickly found its place in homes across the UK, as well as farm shops and independent retailers.

It is proof that when you take something familiar and make it better, people notice.

Dessert, but make it effortless

At its core, The Glorious Mess is about balance. It sits somewhere between a ready-made dessert and a DIY creation, giving you the best of both worlds.

It is elevated, but easy. Impressive, but effortless.

Whether you are hosting friends, treating the family, or simply indulging in a quiet moment to yourself, it is designed to fit seamlessly into real life. No stress, no overthinking, just genuinely good dessert that looks as good as it tastes.

Built on quality and care

Every product starts with a simple goal. Elevate everyday desserts.

The team carefully develops each flavour using natural ingredients, focusing on texture, colour and presentation to create something that feels indulgent and thoughtfully put together. There is real pride in the process too, from using British free-range eggs and British sugar to ensuring only natural flavours and colours make the cut.

Their meringues are Swiss-baked for a superior finish, then hand-finished in Shropshire, delivering a level of quality you can truly see and taste.

More than just dessert

What really sets The Glorious Mess apart is how it makes people feel.

It is not just about what is on the plate, but the moments it creates. Sharing with friends, impressing guests, or simply turning an ordinary evening into something a little more special.

Dessert should feel fun. A little indulgent. Slightly messy, in the best possible way.

And that is exactly what they deliver.

Glorious, messy, indulgent

Everything is vegetarian, made in Shropshire, and designed to look far more impressive than the effort required. A bit of a cheat code for hosting, if you will.
